Tom has more than 15 years of experience in corporate and commercial finance. Having worked at both Barclays and Santander, he advised publicly listed and privately owned businesses on a broad range of funding requirements, delivering bilateral and club transactions of up to £100m.

After moving into the commercial finance brokerage market in 2019, Tom developed a particular focus on real estate funding, supporting investors and developers across a wide range of transactions. In 2024, he co-founded Graphene Funding with Jack Poxon, where he leverages his extensive network across the lending and professional services markets to help clients achieve their funding objectives and further Graphene’s ambition to become Manchester’s leading real estate debt advisory partner.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys hiking in the UK’s national parks, skiing, spending time in the gym, hacking around the golf course and attending live music events.

Jack has more than 10 years of experience across corporate and commercial banking, with a particular focus on real estate finance, working with businesses ranging from global corporates to local SMEs. Prior to Graphene, he held senior director roles at Cynergy Bank, following earlier experience at Lloyds Banking Group.

He co-founded Graphene Funding after identifying an opportunity to offer a more professional and involved approach to debt advisory, working alongside clients as an extension of their team. Since then, Jack has been focused on establishing Graphene as Manchester’s key real estate debt advisory partner.

Outside of work, Jack enjoys taking on new endurance challenges, following a background in professional sport.

David brings more than 30 years of banking experience and is also a qualified Chartered Surveyor. Having started his career in Newcastle, he moved to Manchester in 2009 with Nationwide before becoming one of the two founding members responsible for establishing Cynergy Bank’s Northern office in 2017. Throughout his career, David has focused on commercial real estate finance, originating and delivering transactions of up to £50m. His experience spans relationship management, underwriting, loan restructuring and healthcare, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both clients’ needs and lenders’ requirements.

Away from work, David enjoys staying active through golf, the gym, skiing, mountain biking and walking, as well as spending time with family and friends.
